KEY WEST, Fla. — A man from Indianapolis died while on a diving trip in the Florida Keys.
Timothy Jayne, 71, went missing Tuesday afternoon while diving off a private catamaran in waters off of Key West, according to the Monroe County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office.
A group of divers found Jayne on top of the water about an hour after the search for him began, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Jayne was placed in a boat and given CPR but could not be saved.
Investigators do not think Jayne’s death was the result of foul play.
Autopsy results are pending.
