GREENWOOD, Ind. — The Northeast Skatepark in Greenwood is getting a major overhaul.
Work has begun to transform the 25-year-old skatepark located in Northeast Park.
Hunger Skateparks is leading the $287,250 project, a portion of which is being funded through a Community Development Block Grant.
“From start to finish, this project has been a collaborative effort between the Parks department, community members, and industry experts,” said Greenwood Parks & Recreation Director Rob Taggart. “We can’t wait to see the final product and open it up for residents and visitors.”
The 7,800-square-foot skatepark will include mini quarter pipes, bowl pockets with jumps, various stair combo sets, a China bank with a manual, and more.
