President Donald Trump issued pardons late Tuesday night that included Steve Bannon, his former campaign adviser, according to The New York Times.
The pardon for Bannon, 67, is being called a “pre-emptive move,” which would erase charges against him if he is convicted.
Bannon was charged last year with defrauding donors to a private fundraising effort for the construction of a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, The Washington Post reported.
