INDIANAPOLIS — A young woman and a child were shot on the near east side of downtown Indy this morning
The shooting was around 6:00 a.m. at a home along North Beville Ave. near 10th Street and Jefferson Ave. Police say the woman younger than the age 0f 20 and an 11-year-old boy were hit by gunfire.
The gunshots came from outside the house and through the front windows. The woman and child were inside the home when the shots came through. Police say there were “several” bullet holes in the front of the house.
The pair of victims were taken to the hospital and are in stable conditions with non-life-threatening injuries. Police don’t have any information to share about any suspects.
