INDIANAPOLIS — A man shot and killed early this morning in Indianapolis ties the city’s record for homicides in a calendar year.
Police got the call just before 2:00 a.m. to an apartment complex on the northwest side of the city along Sebring Court near 59th and Georgetown Road. Once police officers got there they found a man unconscious with gunshot wounds.
EMT’s arrived not long afterward and pronounced the man dead.
The man’s death is the 245th homicide in Indianapolis this year, which ties last year’s homicide record.
