CARLISLE, Ind. — The charges have been upped to murder for two men accused of shooting and killing a woman in Sullivan County.
Kyle Johnson and Matthew Earle are said to have fired 20 shots between them when they arrived at an area in Carlisle near the town’s elementary school to help with a fistfight back on June 10th.
It’s still not exactly clear what led to the fight between two groups of people.
Mezmoriah Wilson, 15, was among the gathering of people. Court documents say Earle fired his gun five times into the dirt, while Johnson fired 15 rounds towards the gathering of people. Wilson was shot and killed.
Johnson and Earle were originally charged with just criminal recklessness and obstruction, but after sifting over more evidence prosecutors are now charging them with full-blown murder.
