New Indoor Athletic Facility Coming To Ball State
MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State University is the only school in the Mid-American Conference without an indoor athletic practice facility.
That’s changing soon.
The Ball State Board of Trustees approved a $15 million deal for the new building, that will serve the football, softball, baseball, and soccer teams. The 84,000-square-foot facility will feature a field turf, retractable netting, batting cages, and storage space.
“It will immediately impact the competitive experience of Ball State’s student-athletes,” said Beth Goetz, Director of Athletics.

Ball State football head coach Mike Neu says he is “grateful to the University leadership that recognized the need for this project.”
The facility will open in Summer 2021.
