BLOOMINGTON, Ind.–Indiana Hoosier Head Football Coach Curt Cignetti has picked up two more Coach of the Year honors on Tuesday.

Cignetti was named the Associated Press Coach of the Year on Tuesday, collecting 30 of 45 votes from AP Top 25 voters. Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham finished second with eight votes, Oregon coach Dan Lanning received five and SMU coach Rhett Lashlee got two.

He is the fourth Indiana head coach to earn the award from the AFCA after orchestrating one of the biggest turnarounds in FBS history. Indiana won three games in 2023. Now they’re 11-1 and will play Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff on Friday night.

Here is a list of the awards Cignetti has won in 2024:

-Associated Press National Coach of the Year

-Walter Camp Football Foundation National Coach of the Year

-American Football Coaches Association National Coach of the Year

-Home Depot National Coach of the Year

-Hayes-Schembechler Big Ten Coach of the Year (Big Ten coaches)

-Dave McClain Coach of the Year (Big Ten media)

-Associated Press Big Ten Coach of the Year

Cignetti has never had a losing record in 14 seasons as a head coach. He won conference coach of the year awards at IUP, Elon, James Madison and now in the Big Ten with Indiana.

“Thank you to The Associated Press for this tremendous team honor,” Cignetti said. “Our program has had a great season and we look forward to opening the College Football Playoff against Notre Dame on Friday.”
