Will Ferrell Was In Indiana To Film For Documentary “Will & Harper”

Last year (2023) famous actor Will Ferrell was spotted in the Indianapolis area.

He attended an Indiana Pacers game for fun but no one knew the real reason he was in town.

After some time people spotted him at the beach grove Walmart filming footage for a movie or documentary and some saw him filming on a backroad in the middle of some country roads.

Welp now we know. It was for a special documentary.

Will Ferrell recently released a trailer for his new documentary, “Will & Harper,” which follows a road trip with his long-time friend Harper Steele. Harper can be seen in the dress in the video above with Will Ferrell and Rick Carlisle.

The documentary, set to premiere on Netflix on September 27, captures their journey across America as Steele reintroduces herself to the country after coming out as transgender. Steele and Will Ferrell have a tremendous relationship and Will want to go on a roadtrip with Steele to get to know what their new friendship will be like in the best way.

The film, directed by Josh Greenbaum, highlights their friendship and the challenges and joys of Steele’s transition.

Will Ferrell and Harper Steele have been friends since their early days working together on “Saturday Night Live.” Steele was a writer on the show and eventually became the head writer, while Ferrell was one of its breakout stars.

Their friendship blossomed through their collaboration on various projects and continued to grow outside of work, leading to their close bond.

Filming took place in various locations, but Indiana was a popular location.
