IMPD Chief Says There Were No Curfew Violations this Weekend
IMPD Chief: No Curfew Violations from Kids During Weekend With WNBA All-Star Game and Black Expo

INDIANAPOLIS–Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Chief Chris Bailey said Sunday that there were no curfew violations this past weekend, which featured both the WNBA All-Star game and the Indiana Black Expo.
He said the success can be attributed to the hard work of parents as well as collaboration among the community.
He also thanked State Police and the Indy TenPoint Coalition for their help.
The curfew for kids began not long after a mass shooting in downtown Indianapolis on Fourth of July weekend. Two teenagers died in that shooting and at least five others were injured near Illinois and Washington Streets.
This past weekend, however, had five people injured in four different shootings across Indianapolis between 9:50 pm Saturday and 4:30 am Sunday.
