Explosion at LA Sheriff Academy Leaves 3 Dead

LOS ANGELES — An explosion at a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department training center killed at least three deputies early Friday.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m. at the Biscailuz Center on North Eastern Avenue, according to several TV stations. One report says something went off near a bomb squad vehicle.
Some outlets say deputies may have been handling explosives at the time. Authorities are still figuring out what exactly happened.
