Five are Charged with Trafficking Firearms Between Indy and Chicago

INDIANAPOLIS — Five people face charges for trafficking firearms and machine gun conversion devices between Indianapolis and Chicago.
The Crime Gun Intelligence Center of Chicago conducted the firearms trafficking investigation in partnership with various other law enforcement agencies. A total of 20 firearms and three machine gun conversion devices were recovered.
The group of five males charged are a 23-year-old, a 19-year-old, two 18-year-olds, and a 17-year-old. They all face one felony count of gunrunning 11-20 firearms. Some are also charged with unlawful use or sale of a weapon, aggravated feeling with damage>$300 property and selling firearm/no valid FOID.
