Two Security Guards Arrested After Incident at Evansville Bar
EVANSVILLE, Ind –Two security guards at Chaser’s Bar & Grill were arrested Sunday night after a violent altercation with a customer.
The Evansville Police Department (EPD) said 29-year-old Sean Shell was taken into custody for felony battery. EPD also announced that 41-year-old Johnathan Turner was arrested later that night after a warrant was issued for him.
Video footage circulating on social media shows the guards punching and kicking the victim, Shane Hendrix, and kneeing him as they dragged him out of the bar.

The altercation began after Hendrix had a confrontation with a bartender over an unpaid tab, which led to him making crude comments and stepping toward the bartender.
The officer assigned to the bar was not involved in the incident, as he was outside handling another situation at the time. He only interacted with Hendrix later when he found him on the sidewalk.
Hendrix was offered medical attention but declined.
