INDIANAPOLIS–The City of Indianapolis has the nosiest neighbors in the country, according to a study that came out this week from Secure Data Recovery.
Secure Data Recovery (SDR) surveyed more than 2,500 Americans about whether or not they have nosy neighbors or are nosy themselves.
Researchers from SDR say they discovered the following about Indianapolis:
-62% have changed their daily routine to avoid a neighbor (2nd highest in the US)
-48% have had a neighbor ask intrusive questions about the cost of things they bought (3rd highest in the US)
-38% have had a neighbor invite themselves over (5th highest in the US)
They also examined the most common actions from nosy neighbors. They say those are asking lots of questions, staring at people from afar, gossiping to people about other neighbors, and showing up to homes unannounced.
Even though Indianapolis is considered the city in America with the most nosy neighbors, the state considered by SDR to have the most nosy neighbors is Virginia.
