When Democrats cannot win at the ballot box, they shop for friendly judges who will block the will of the people, by shopping around for their own judges to rule in their own favor. Donald Trump is not causing a “Constitutional Crisis”. The crisis is being caused by the Dems who are trying to overrule the Executive Branch with their friends in the Judicial Branch.

Sarah Perry from The Heritage Foundation joins us to pick apart the strange moves from federal judges and, yes, finally some guidance on what comes next!

Tony Kinnett:

All those federal judges that are throwing things around, just injunctions and phrases and positives and resumes and blockbuster movie tickets. It’s insane what I’m watching on national TV. I want to get your take on two of them. That I’m a little confused about. So, I’m seeing judges go back and forth and back again on whether the president of the United States has the authority to temporarily freeze some federal funding at the beginning of the administration to, like, look over how things are being spent. How does that work?

Sarah Perry:

It’s very simple, actually. Appropriations legislation is different than substantive law. Now, you can make substantive law in appropriations bills, but frequently that is not the case. These funds have been allocated for a particular use by Congress, but in these lawsuits, no one has said the temporary pause on assessment of this funding violates any substantive law, so there’s nothing about his actions right now that are illegal…Now we’re seeing the attempt to get into the operations, the waffle operations of the Executive, as members of the legislative body and the judiciary right now, and these particularly left-leaning activist judge courtrooms, they are going along with the gambit. They want to make sure that they are finding a way to strike down these executive orders and these executive actions. And let me tell you. Every one of them, what we’ve discovered, what we’ve learned so far is that these are judges who are seeking something to support a desired outcome, not seeking for the support to get to the right outcome. And that’s really been interesting to see that the blindfold over the statue of justice right there taken off and suggesting, well, we want this outcome and so therefore we’re going to interpret the Constitution through this lens. And nowhere has that been more transparent, nor has that been more obvious than the judge ruling that Trump needs to put up all of the transgender and sex toy web pages back up on government websites. I mean, what kind of federal order is that?
