JAMESTOWN, Ind –-A multi-car crash on westbound Interstate 74 claimed three lives, including two children, Friday morning.

Around 7 a.m., a Kia Soul traveling eastbound rear-ended a semi, crossed into the median, and entered the westbound lanes, colliding head-on with a pickup truck.

The driver of the Kia, 27-year-old Ashley Morgan from Iowa, and two children in the vehicle were killed. A third child from the Kia and two people in the pickup truck were hospitalized.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area, with traffic diverted onto IN-75.
