BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Battery is the charge against a special ed teacher aide at a middle school in Bloomington.

Court documents say Darren Eads worked at Jackson Creek Middle School. Back in January, he was seen on surveillance footage out in a hallway of school. He was alone with a special ed student, and for no apparent reason, he was seen grabbing and twisting the boy’s finger making him cry.

Other teachers heard the commotion and noted the “fear” on the boy’s face. The boy is said to have begun repeating, “Oh no!’ which is something teachers say he says when something is wrong.

In earlier footage, Eads was also seen trying to kick the boy’s feet in an effort to make him trip and fall. This was while the boy was trying to hold himself up by holding on to the wall of the halway.

Eads was fired on January 30th. Eads was booked into jail and posted bond soon after.
