Indiana Taxman Is Now Coming For Your DoorDash
The roads here in Cental Indiana is a sore subject for most Hoosiers, particularly for your tires and shocks.

Somehow there’s never enough money to maintain our roads, despite having high gas taxes:

This has been a constant conversation of what do we charge people, or the privilege of using their car. And some people think that this is THE issue in Marion County. Marion County can’t figure out the roads because they’re not charging enough… Tweet from Michael Paul Hart, who leads the Republicans on the Indianapolis City County Council. And he shared an e-mail:
Why weren’t the streets plowed after that snowstorm? What took so long? (response) “The reason that we have not called out contractors is not because we can’t afford to do so.” They didn’t plow the streets because it was better to leave them unplowed. It didn’t have anything to do with money, according to the liaison for the Department of Public Works. You’re going to tell Hoosiers, the people of Marion County, that the reason their side streets weren’t plowed was because it was better for them? … What exactly will you people put up with? … I’m talking about these people who defend Hogsett in the city in all ways… You just told the people “Nope, it’s better that we leave it there and not plow it.” What are you dumb? That is some inept leadership.

What I’m saying is I don’t believe them at all in any way. It is such a ridiculous thought that when you’re the mayor, you’re supposed to look at the Department of Public Works and say, are you people out of your minds? Get rid of the snow. Snow removal is the name of the game. Get rid of the snow. Stop complaining. Stop telling me it’s tough. Go get it done… But since it’s not about money, I go back to the state. Why in the world would we think it’s OK to charge an extra dollar for people doing DoorDash or Grubhub or Uber Eats?
