LOGANSPORT, Ind. — State Police are investigating after a Logansport man was killed in an officer-involved shooting early Tuesday morning.
Officers with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office went to a home on West County Road 500 South in response to a possible stabbing. They ultimately found one victim in critical condition, and another with non-life-threatening injuries.
While getting medical supplies from a patrol car, one deputy apparently saw Christopher Evans “armed with knives.” Police say Evans later “charged” at the deputy, which led to the shooting.
Unfortunately, the man died at the scene. No officers were hurt, but the deputy who fired shots is now on administrative leave, as is standard in these incidents.
