GREENWOOD, Ind. — Four Greenwood men were taken into custody after they murdered another man.
It happened in New Jersey.
Kuldeep Kumar, who was missing since October, was shot in the chest many times, and that’s when he died. Sourav Kumar, Gaurav Singh, Nirmal Singh, and Gurdeep Singh were all charged with murder and conspiracy.
Police say Kumar’s body was found rotten in a wildlife management area, not far from Philadelphia in mid-December. Authorities say Kumar might have been murdered the week before Thanksgiving.
Court documents say all five of those men are family. Authorities don’t say how those four men are related to Kumar, but Sourav Kumar has the same last name.
“The charges brought against the individuals in connection with this tragic murder in Manchester Township reflect the tireless commitment of our detectives and the outstanding collaborative efforts of law enforcement at every level. Justice for victims and their families is always our highest priority, and this case is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and determination of those who worked relentlessly to bring those responsible to justice. Together, we remain steadfast in our mission to ensure that those who commit such heinous acts are held accountable,” Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police, Col. Patrick J. Callahan, says.
The hearing for all four men will happen Friday.
