STATEWIDE--Light rain is still expected to fall across portions of Indiana on Tuesday. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis is also urging you to watch out for areas of dense fog Tuesday morning.
“The morning commute could be a little foggy, especially in rural areas,” said Andrew White, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Any rain that falls on Tuesday is going to come with a system that White says is nothing like the remnants of Hurricane Helene that Indiana just dealt with.
“Rain amounts look to be fairly light, generally less than a quarter of an inch. The heaviest showers might have a little more than that, but it’s going to be pretty light,” said White.
After Tuesday, the temperatures across Indiana will cool down and sunny skies will return.
“We’re going to be dry especially once we get into Wednesday and then we’ll have those season temperatures return. We’re expecting low-to-mid 40s. Daytime highs will be either in the low or mid 70s,” said White.
