INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers have established Bikeshare stations around the state, and the team announced Friday that a new station is open in Haughville.

The Bikeshare program allows Marion County residents to ride the bikes for free for up to 30 minutes before being charged, and out-of-county riders can pay to ride.

This new station can be found on West Michigan Street at Warman Avenue.  It is meant to be more accessible to all riders, with information in English and Spanish.

Eventually, the goal is for this path to run from the B&O Trailhead to the trail in Hendricks County.  At this time, it goes through Speedway to High School Road.

If you are wondering how this station was funded, a press release explains that it was supported by the Central Indiana Community Foundation’s Connected Communities Initiative.

Community Foundation CEO Jennifer Bartenbach says, “Trails bring beauty and dignity to our daily activities… The B&O Trail and this new Pacers Bikeshare station further extend that connection to nature and each other.”
