INDIANAPOLIS — To boost Indiana’s low voter registration and turnout rates, several advocacy groups held an event in honor of National Voter Registration Day.

The event, hosted at Lugar Plaza, brought together organizations like Common Cause Indiana, the League of Women Voters, Hoosier Asian American Power, and the ACLU of Indiana. They kicked things off with a press conference, followed by volunteers helping attendees register to vote.

Many of these groups are part of the All IN for Democracy coalition, which focuses on promoting voter-friendly policies throughout the state. An IndyGo bus, featuring “Yes, You Can Vote!” ads from the ACLU, was also on-site to further encourage voter participation.

Hoosiers can check or update their voter registration at indianavoters.in.gov.
