Mayor Joe Hogsett Wants A Pay Raise

A proposal at the Indianapolis City-County Council gives Joe Hogsett a pay raise.

Now, before you lose your head, and wonder why… this guy, who allowed a guy by the name of Thomas Carl Cook, his former chief of staff as former deputy mayor. Three different women claiming sexual impropriety by Thomas Carl Cook. Joe Hogsett, the mayor of Indianapolis, kept Thomas Carl Cook in his employ, and brought him back to help run a campaign for a third term. Gave a weak mealy-mouthed apology and has not handed over the information regarding an alleged 2017 investigation into Thomas Carl Cook. And people question whether the investigation actually took place. You will note that this story is no longer being discussed by the media. They had a chance to put a microphone in front of his face every day, and they chose not to do it. WISH TV Fox 59, WTHR, CBS4 and RTV 6, they chose not to do it. Russ McQuaid, to his credit, did it once.

And that was the end of that. Ohh, let’s get him entering the City-County Council meeting. “Ohh, let’s get him exiting the City-County Council meeting. Alright, we sure did some good journalism thing today.” You don’t hold people accountable if you don’t hold leadership accountable if the press won’t do it. No one can. You have one job and it’s not to get invited to parties. If you’re a TV anchor, stop trying to look good in a suit.

You don’t have to do one more workout, you have to do one more crunch. You don’t have to have your hair perfectly quaffed. You have to tell Indianapolis what’s going on and you have to ask tough questions of people in charge. Stop trying to get invited to parties, stop bragging about whatever charity thing you’re hosting. No one cares. Even I’m willing to do your job. What are we all in on the game? Am I the only guy not in on the game? Am I the only guy willing to say it’s a game? And it’s gross.

Nobody asks feminist groups in Indianapolis why they’re OK with Joe Hogsett still being in power. No comment from the United Way. And by the way, I picked an organization, you pick one. No statement from the Indiana youth group. Now maybe they’ve got on and I haven’t seen it, but it’d be weird that it didn’t go out to, to, to everybody or, or what? You don’t tell WIBC the only people who actually report, you know, news. The only people willing to suffer the slings and arrows. Of not being in the in crowd. Our questions are so tough that you can’t get the mayor on, you can’t get the governor on. It’s bipartisan… I’ll take that. It’s pathetic, but I’ll take it. You won’t ask the questions. I thought you stood up for women? Obviously not. And if you’re not willing to stand up for women by taking on the Democrat mayor? Don’t. Don’t tell me about Donald Trump. Don’t. Don’t get on your high horse on social media. You’re so full of crap.

We see it, we see you. We know you’re not serious. We know you don’t care about women. The Indiana Democratic Party cares about women? Stop it. Ohh, that is hilarious. We know that’s not true. They care about whatever gets them a victory, but they don’t care about Hoosier women at all. They all talk about the right to choose and reproductive freedom at the DNC, but they don’t have a comment.

They don’t have a comment about sexual harassment. And the guy, Mayor Joe Hogsett, who kept that guy in his employ, well, they’ve offered up a whole new series of, of reporting procedures. You’re gonna force the staff to go through training every year? They didn’t do anything wrong. They were the ones getting abused. Yeah, that, Mayor Joe Hogsett, is gonna get a pay raise. What I said was don’t get crazy about it. This has been a conversation going on for years. This idea that if you don’t pay the right amount, you can’t get quality people. Well, we’ve got Joe Hogsett, so, maybe they have a point. Hey, but Indianapolis, this is what you voted for. You weren’t looking for quality. You are looking for a mayor who campaigned on abortion rights. Like Joe Hogsett has anything to do with the conversation. Meanwhile, the proposal would go take the mayor’s salary from 95 grand to 125,000. So, we’ve got it, we’re keeping our eyes on that story
