UPDATE: The second individual located was later pronounced deceased on scene by medics.

INDIANAPOLIS–One person was killed and two others were hurt in a shooting on the west side of Indianapolis Monday afternoon.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the person who died was found on the scene in the 3600 block of West Michigan Street.  That’s in a neighborhood between Holt Road and North Tibbs Avenue.

The second person who was shot is “awake and breathing.” A third person who had been shot was found not far from there on Vermont Street. That person is in critical condition at a hospital.
