Dirt Track Racing Legend Scott Bloomquist Dies in Plane Crash

HAWKINS COUNTY, TN— An award-winning race car driver was killed in a plane crash in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
Scott Bloomquist was the only person onboard the single-engine plane when it crashed into a barn near Mooresburg.
The accident happened just before 8 am Friday morning.
Bloomquist was a nationally known dirt track race car driver. The sheriff’s office and the FAA are investigating.
