Muncie Police Investigate Shooting that Killed 15-Year-Old Boy

UPDATE: Five teenagers have been arrested in Muncie in this case. Muncie police arrested 19-year-olds Dasha Eckford and Ricky Nathan along with a 14-year-old, 16-year-old, and a 17-year-old. All of them are charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery resulting in death, obstruction, and aiding, inducing or causing an offense. All of those charges are felonies.

MUNCIE, IND — A teenager was shot and killed in Muncie on Wednesday night. Police were called to the Elgin Manor Apartments just after 10 p.m. for a report of someone found in a bush. When they got there, they found a 15-year-old boy.

He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police served a warrant at an apartment but didn’t share who or what they were looking for.
