BROOKLYN, Ind.–The Indiana Pacers selected two players in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York Thursday night.

With their 38th pick, they selected Marquette guard Kam Jones. He averaged 19 points and six assists per game this past season. He was a Consensus second-team All American as well as First Team All Big East in 2025.

Their next pick was at the #54 spot. That’s where they took Taelon Peter. He played collegiately at Tennessee Tech (2020-21), Arkansas Tech (2021-24), and finished his college career at Liberty (2024-25). He also worked out for the Pacers during the pre-draft process.

Last season, Peter shot 45% from three-point range while scoring 14 points and four rebounds per game. He also made 76% of his two-point shots and was named third-team All Conference USA. He was the Conference USA Sixth Man of the Year. Peter led all of Division I in true shooting percentage at .724. That is a statistic that combines field goal and free throw shooting proficiency.
