President Trump took aim at aim at Republican Mitt Romney Friday, referring to him as a “RINO” after the Utah Senator criticized efforts to reverse President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in this month’s election.

“Having failed to make even a plausible case of widespread fraud or conspiracy before any court of law, the President has now resorted to overt pressure on state and local officials to subvert the will of the people and overturn the election,” Romney wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “It is difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a sitting American President.”

Trump lashed out at Romney in a Friday tweet, referring to him as a “RINO” (Republican In Name Only), and suggesting that Romney “feels he got slaughtering by Obama ‘fair and square.'”

WIBC host Tony Katz actually disagreed with the President Monday morning, stating that to call Senator Romney a “RHINO” is an insult to “RHINOs.”

Katz:

“I think President Trump was way too kind.

“Stop telling me what Mitt Romney had to say, [liberal media]. You hated Romney; you despised him; you destroyed him; you said ‘binders full of women and dog on the roof of the car.’ Harry Reid lied about him not filing his taxes and you all bought into it. Don’t you dare quote this guy to me like somehow I’m supposed to give a damn – because I don’t. Calling Mitt Romney a “RHINO” is too kind to Mitt Romney and an insult to RHINOS.”
