INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was shot and killed on the northeast side of Indianapolis overnight.
Officers with Indianapolis Metro Police were called to a home at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening on North Mitthoeffer Road, between 42nd and 38th streets, where the caller reports “a disturbance.”
“While in the area officers heard multiple shots being fired,” said IMPD Officer Genae Cook. “Officers located an adult female, who waved them down from a vehicle. The female had injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.”
Cook said the woman was taken to Eskenazi Hospital downtown where she died shortly;y after arriving there.
Investigators don’t know who shot the woman yet.
