DALEVILLE, Ind. — The Daleville Community Schools Superintendent calls it disappointing and shocking.

A photo posted to social media websites over the weekend shows what appears to be eight Daleville students, laying on the floor of the high school gym, their bodies forming the shape of a swastika. The photo also shows each student with their arm raised in the air in an apparent Nazi salute, while one student stands at the center, doing the same thing.

Robert Paul Garrison, the Daleville Community Schools Superintendent, said in a statement published on the school’s website that the school district will not tolerate acts of racism or discrimination.

Garrison says the situation is under investigation and once it’s complete, the district will determine an appropriate course of action for the students involved.
