NEW YORK — Former Trump Campaign manager and White House adviser Steve Bannon and three others are being indicted for illegally funneling money from a crowdsourcing project to build a border wall.

Prosecutors in Manhattan say the defendants defrauded hundreds of thousands of Americans who contributed to the “We Build The Wall” project where they promised 100-percent of the money would be spent on building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

Prosecutors claim the four men took hundreds of thousands of dollars of funds from the 25-million raised.  They also claim they took steps to hide the money they took, including creating false invoices.

The other men indicted are Brian Kolfage, Andrew Badolato and Timothy Shea.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York is prosecuting the case.
