INDIANAPOLIS — A teenage boy was shot and killed on the city’s east side early Friday morning.

According to IMPD, officers were called to a place along North Bradley Avenue, near New York Street and Sherman Avenue for a report of a person shot.

“Officers located a male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound,” said Officer Genae Cook. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim in critical condition to Eskenazi hospital. Despite the best medical treatment, the victim was pronounced deceased a short time after his arrival.”

Police are not saying who the boy was yet or anything about whether or not they have a suspect in the case.
