Happy Mask Mandate Monday, Indiana! Did you remember to don your “This mask is as worthless as Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb” face covering? Don’t fight the power of the state. We have mindless minions all throughout the Hoosier Heartland just itching to take video and shame you on social media for failure to comply.

“Hoosiers have worked hard to get where we are today with businesses open and people back at work,” Gov. Holcomb said last week. We want to keep it that way. We don’t want to dial things back. Face coverings can and will help us blunt the increase of this virus.”

Hear Holcomb now: WEAR YOUR MASK. There will be no exceptions! Not one!!

The Governor signed his executive order on Friday that mandated face coverings, so in theory, you’re in big trouble if you don’t adhere to the demands of budding medical expert Eric Holcomb… or maybe not. Why? Because the order does not include a provision that would allow for criminal penalties if you decide to buck the system. In other words, just like curfew violations, public defecation, and open drug use, the mask mandate is unofficially a toothless obey-at-will mandate.

It’s also an order the Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill said Thursday of last week that Eric Holcomb lacks the constitutional authority to impose.

Hill’s assertion was likely the impetus for Holcomb’s decision to remove the criminal penalty portion of the Executive Order.

During Wednesday’s weekly COVID-19 briefing, Gov. Holcomb had indicated non-compliance could result in a Class B misdemeanor.

Attorney General Hill spoke with the Hammer and Nigel Show prior to Gov. Holcomb’s official signing of his Executive Order. Click below to hear his comments on this wholly unenforceable mandate.
