INDIANAPOLIS — The National Hot Rod Association has postponed the final rounds of the Summernationals at Lucas Oil Raceway until the U.S. Nationals set to be run in September.
The final rounds of the Summernationals were rained out Sunday.
The NHRA recently returned to live drag racing action for the first time since postponing the start of the 2020 season because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Last week the E3 Spark Plug Nationals were held at Lucas Oil Raceway, which followed up by this past weekend Summernationals also at Lucas Oil Raceway.
The U.S. Nationals are still set to be contested Labor Day weekend, which falls Sept. 4-6.
The NHRA has not said if fans will or will not be allowed to attend the event. A limited number of people were allowed to come watch both the E3 Spark Plug Nationals and the Summernationals.
