INDIANAPOLIS — On Sunday, the Indiana State Department of Health announced 927 more Hoosiers have tested positive for the coronavirus. That’s the second-highest daily total during the pandemic.

The 927 positive cases come from more than 12,000 new tests, meaning around seven percent came back positive. That’s slightly down from the nine percent positive rate that state was seeing last week.

In total, there have been 56,571 positive cases reported in the state.

The ISDH also said two more Hoosiers died from the virus, which brings the total to 2,629 deaths related to the virus in Indiana.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 14,313,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 8,045,000 recoveries and more than 602,000 deaths.
