INDIANAPOLIS — School is beginning a little later for Indianapolis Public Schools.

IPS will now start on Aug. 17, the school announced on Saturday after a vote by the IPS Board of School Commissioners.

Franklin Community schools have also delayed their start date to Aug. 17, as many schools consider whether to send children and teachers back into the classroom because of the pandemic.

Noblesville Schools announced they will begin as planned on Monday, Aug. 3.

They will be offering in-classroom instruction for students who are able to return to school, but those who have health issues or those who have family members with health issues online-learning is available.

Elementary school students will attend school every day, while high school and middle school students will alternate days between going to school and learning online at home.
