KOKOMO, Ind. — The Kokomo Police Department said a 12-year-old boy was shot twice on Tuesday night and a teenager is under arrest for attempted murder.
According to investigators, the shooting happened at around 6:10 p.m. at the Terrace Meadows Apartments on Marsha Court on Tuesday.
Witnesses said a white vehicle drove through the parking lot and the driver started shooting toward a group of people. Shortly after, officers found the 12-year-old boy with two gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Community Howard Hospital and then flown to Riley Hospital for Children. His name and condition have not been released.
Police said that driver is a 17-year old boy, who is now under arrest for attempted murder. The teen was taken to the Kinsey Youth Center.
