SPEEDWAY, Ind. — The lone two drivers in the Xfinity Series finished first and second in the inaugural Pennzoil 150 on Saturday.

Chase Briscoe, a native of Mitchell, Indiana, collected his fifth win of the season in a dramatic climax to the first-ever stock race on the road course of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The win also extends Briscoe’s points lead in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

“Everybody knows when I grew up I watched Tony Stewart,” Briscoe told NBC. “Now to race for him and win. I had a dream of coming to this race track and to win here is unbelievable.”

Justin Haley, a native of Winamac, Indiana, finished second. Noah Gragson was third followed by AJ Allmendinger, and Austin Cindric.
