INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Parks is ready to kick off summer with free concerts and movies.

Instead of having around 70 concerts and movies, their Summer Concert and Movie series will only have 20 to keep performers, audience members, and staff safe because of the pandemic.

They’re kicking the series off with a drive-in showing of “The Lion King,” on June 26 at 9:00 p.m. in Garfield Park, and the “The Sandlot,” the next weekend.

The movies will be at Garfield Park, while the concerts will be at Broad Ripple Park, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Garfield Park, and Eagle Creek Park.

You can watch virtual performances on the Indy Parks YouTube channel.
