That 70’s Show Star, Danny Masterson, Has Been Charged For Raping 3 Women in the Early 2000s

The actor who played bad-boy, Steven Hyde, turns out to be an actual bad guy.

That 70’s Show star, Danny Masterson, has been charged with raping women in the early 2000’s. The Los Angeles County said Masterson was charged with three counts of rape by force or fear Wednesday.

The actor, also known for his role on Netflix’s The Ranch, is accused of raping three women in separate occasions at his home in Hollywood.

Masterson allegedly raped a 23-year-old between January and December 2001. In April 2003, he is accused of raping a 28-year-old. Another women at 23 years-old, also accused Masterson for an incident in late 2003. The women’s names have not been made public.

Masterson was arrested late Wednesday morning. He was released a few hours later after posting a $3.3 million bond.

Two other sexual assault charges were made, but ultimately declined due to lack of evidence.

The LAPD first began investigations in March 2017. This was after multiple women filed reports against Masterson and the Church of Scientology.

The actor has denied these accusations from the beginning claiming he was falsely accused because of his high-profile membership in the Church of Scientology. The Church of Scientology has been accused of covering up the situation in the past.

Both, The Church of Scientology and Masterson, are accused of stalking, physical invasion of privacy, and a conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Former Scientologist member, now outspoken critic, Leah Remini, is feeling pretty good about all this.

She even interviewed the victims for her show last August, Scientology and the Aftermath, discussing Masterson and the role the Church of Scientology took to cover the crimes.

Masterson faces a possible maximum sentence of 45 years to life in state prison if convicted. The case was put on hold due to the pandemic. He is scheduled for court Sept. 18th.

The actor is married to actress and model, Bijou Phillips, 40. They have a 6 year-old daughter together.
