Clover, clover, everywhere! Clover, clover, as long as Pat’s back hair!
Yes, it’s that time of year where clover takes over our yards. We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the best products and methods to get rid of clover and quick.
Well, Pat did a little experiment last summer on his lawn and here’s what he found out:
“I did a little experiment last year. You always know that if a weed has it’s own weed killer- it’s tough to kill.… I used (Ortho’s ) chickweed killer on half my lawn and then on the other half I used SpeedZone/Weed-Free Zone.
Ultimately, they both worked. The Ortho chickweed killer was way slower killing it, where the Weed-Free Zone/SpeedZone– I mean it was 24 hours and it was already dying.”
There you have it, two great products that are guaranteed to get rid of that clover. However, if you can swing it financially, Pat recommends his favorite of the two:
“I would use Weed-Free Zone/SpeedZone. It is a little more on the expensive side…. Either one works, but I’m impatient so I would use Weed-Free Zone/SpeedZone.”
