JASPER, Ind. — A Jasper man fell into a lake early Saturday morning and conservation officers say that man died.

The man fell at about 2:oo Saturday morning from what conservation officers are describing as an “elevated diving structure.” That was on some private property where people were swimming half a mile south of State Road 64 and the State Road 161 intersection near Holland. Holland.

They say the man hit his head before he went underwater. His body was found about two hours later. Conservation officers and sheriff’s deputies are still looking for fall the answers.

An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday, and investigators say the name of the man will be released once the victim’s family members are notified.
