INDIANAPOLIS — Public visitation will be held Friday for a former Indiana University football player who was killed during riots in downtown Indianapolis.

38-year-old Christopher Beaty was fatally shot in the area of North Talbot and East Vermont Streets just before midnight on May 30, according to WISH-TV.

Visitation for Beaty will run from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at the Pavilion at Pan Am. The public is welcome to attend, but guests will be required to wear masks.

A private funeral will be held Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, Beaty’s family is asking for donations to the Chris Beaty Memorial Fund.
