Rep. Eliot Engel is officially ‘past sell-by date’ political hamburger meat after admitting on a ‘hot mic’ that the only reason he asked for media coverage of his appearance at a local event on the unrest over police brutality was because of his upcoming primary threat.

“If I didn’t have a primary, I wouldn’t care,” the soon-to-be-former New York Congressman told Ruben Diaz Jr., the Bronx borough president, as he asked for an opportunity to exploit fear and suffering for his personal political gain.

Engel, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Peter Sellers as “Clouseau” had his asinine comments captured and leaked by a local television station. And if it’s any consolation, the 12-second clip is a MASSIVE hit on social media, garnering close to one million views and climbing to the top of the charts!

Engel made a desperate and pathetic attempt to salvage his career after the video went “Kidz Bop Karen” level viral, issuing a statement that clarified he asked to speak because he wanted to convey that “I care deeply about what’s happening in this country.”

Let’s review for the purposes of fun, entertainment, and relishing this fine moment in Democrat political history.

Here’s What Engel MEANT to Say: “I care deeply about what’s happening in this country.”

Here’s What Engel ACTUALLY Said: “If I didn’t have a primary, I wouldn’t care.”

Yes, the two statements are nearly indistinguishable from each other!

Seriously though…
