INDIANAPOLIS — A man found shot to death on the northwest side.

Indianapolis Metro Police say they got a call about a person shot at around 7:30 Sunday evening near an apartment complex near Georgetown Road and Interstate 65.

“When officers arrived, they located an adult male who appeared to have injuries consistent with a gunshot wound,” said Officer Arron Hamer. “Officers called for the assistance of EMS who responded and transported the male to an area hospital in critical condition.”

The man later died at the hospital.

“Homicide detectives immediately began canvassing the area for witnesses,” Hamer added. “The Marion County Coroner’s Office will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death.”

No suspects are in custody. Hamer said the department is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. If you know anything call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
