INDIANAPOLIS — The number of Hoosiers confirmed to have the coronavirus continues to rise, according to data released Wednesday by the Indiana State Department of Health.

A total of 5,943 Hoosiers have now tested positive for the virus, an increase of nearly 500 since Tuesday, according to ISDH. A total of 30,869 Hoosiers have been tested for coronavirus.

Marion County has the highest number of positive tests, with 2,290. Lake County has the second-highest number of infections, with 461 positive tests. Third is Hamilton County, with 392 people there testing positive for the virus.

ISDH said 203 Hoosiers have died from the virus.
