INDIANAPOLIS — Drive-thru coronavirus testing for essential workers in Marion County begins Wednesday morning at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Testing is not open to the public and is available only to the following groups of workers in Marion County:

  • Family members of first responders
  • Corrections officers and jail staff
  • Air traffic controllers
  • Lab personnel
  • City staff from the departments of parks and public works
  • Public safety personnel
  • Military
  • Environmental services
  • Veterinarians and staff
  • Package delivery services
  • IndyGo bus drivers
  • Utility workers

In order to get a test, you must be symptomatic or have been exposed to a confirmed case of coronavirus. You must have also completed screening and registration before arrival.

Testing will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Indiana University Health Infectious Diseases laboratory will test the samples collected at the drive-through site.
