INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are dead after a triple shooting on the city’s east side.

It happened around 3:45 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of North Emerson Avenue, a commercial area just north of the Interstate 70 interchange.

Three people were found shot at that location and taken to an area hospital, where two victims, both men, died. A juvenile boy remained in critical condition on Sunday, according to Sgt. Grace Sibley at the scene.

A vehicle on the on-ramp to I-70 was believed to be connected to the shooting, but additional details about the circumstances of the shooting were not provided.

No information about the identities of the shooting victims was released on Sunday.

Sibley asked that anyone who was in the area when the shooting occurred and witnessed something call IMPD at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
