INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Hoosiers love the game of basketball and the Indiana State Fair.
At the 2020 Indiana State Fair, fairgoers will be able to celebrate both. That’s because officials announced Tuesday morning at the Indiana State Fairground and Event Center that the theme for this year’s fair is “Basketball.”
“The Indiana State Fair is an annual celebration of agriculture, entertainment and what it means to be a Hoosier,” Governor Eric J. Holcomb said. “Perhaps the only other Hoosier tradition that brings together as many fans, as much nostalgia and that sense of hometown pride is the love of basketball that’s swept our state for more than a century, which makes it the perfect theme for this year’s fair.”
The 2020 Indiana State Fair runs from Aug. 7 – Aug. 23 and will include multiple interactive experiences dedicated to the game of basketball in the state of Indiana.
